Making The Most Of Social Distancing

It’s really easy to get wrapped up in fixing our minds on the negative side of our current circumstances and the social distancing advisory. While it is wise to be up-to-date and aware of the reality of COVID-19, dwelling on it is only going to heighten fear, stress and anxiety, which all contribute to compromised immunity.

Since we have been asked to avoid public places, I thought it might be helpful to share a list of ideas to make the most of your time at home. We move 100 mph most of the time anyway. Seeing this as an opportunity, to slow down and reset is going to be helpful not only for ourselves but also for those around us.

Learn A New Skill

  • Dancing (line dancing, hip hop, 2-stepping)
  • Sewing
  • Calligraphy
  • Video editing

Switch Up Your Fitness

  • Yoga (handstands)
  • Isometrics (ie. wall sits)
  • Resistance bands

Read A New Book

Spring Clean

  • Wash makeup brushes and hair brushes
  • Get ride of old clothes/shoes
  • Clean out the pantry and refrigerator
  • Wash the car
